Stockholm, City of Brands
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and Scandinavia, is also home to world-renowned brands. Brands like Ikea, Ericsson, Volvo, and IBM bear the city's signature. In 2007, it was chosen as the “Most Livable City in the World.”
In Stockholm, which consists of 14 islands, large and small, connected by bridges and canals, the temperature rarely exceeds 20 degrees Celsius. Despite Sweden and Stockholm having a cold and snowy climate, the city is lush and green everywhere.
The city is comprised of the districts of Norrmalm, Kungsholmen, Skeppsholmen, Djurgården, Södermalm, and Långholmen.
If we were to list the must-see places in Stockholm, we would first recommend starting with Klara Church. You can visit the Kulturhuset building, the House of Culture, located in the city center. The Swedish Parliament Building in Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen Church, and the Swedish Royal Palace are also among the must-sees.
Storkyrkan Cathedral, Riksbron Bridge, the German Church, and Stockholm City Hall, which took 12 years to build and hosts the Nobel Prize Ceremony, should also be visited.
In a city where the weather is quite cold even in June, Sergels Torg square should not be forgotten.
Hop On – Hop Off buses are also available in Stockholm. Those who wish can explore the city on these red tour buses.
