A Magnificent Lake Between Switzerland and Germany, Bodensee
Bodensee, also known as Lake Constance, is a wonderful lake located in southern Germany, at the point where it intersects with Austria and Switzerland. It is Europe's third-largest lake, and its circumference is 273 km long. As it is highly developed in terms of tourism, the influx of tourists is quite high. The lake water is clean enough to drink and swim in. In fact, the drinking water for Germany's Baden-Württemberg region is sourced from this lake.
Yachting and water sports activities on the lake are also extremely important for tourism. There is even a water sports school on the lake shore: Radolfzell Segelschule. Boat trips on the lake are also very romantic and famous. It is recommended to take a trip on the lake with Solarboat and watch the sunset.
The lake's smoked fish is famous. Bodensee also has a flower island famous for its 500-year-old juniper trees. Mainau Island is one of the places that should be visited. The church within it is also worth seeing.
You can cycle around in the fresh air and a postcard-like setting. The lake, from which a 600-year-old shipwreck was recently recovered, was also used during Roman times.
Don't forget to visit the aquarium called Sea Life in Bodensee to watch marine life. The aquarium fee is 11 Euros.
