A Dreamlike Country, Madagascar
The Republic of Madagascar is an island country located in the Indian Ocean. Also known as the fourth largest island in the world, Madagascar has been little affected by the outside world. Its capital, Antananarivo, is also known by the name "Tana." It has a dreamlike beauty with its white sandy beaches, coconut trees, and white houses.
The island, which stands out for its plant and animal diversity due to its different climatic conditions, still has a very virgin potential for tourism. Those who want to vacation on the island are also surprised by the cheapness of the prices. For example, it is possible to eat as many lobsters as would fill an entire family for about 10 liras. Since most people are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, they have almost no relationship with money.
In the cities, transportation is usually done by cars pulled by people, called "Puf Puf." In the country, where water is always boiled before drinking, electricity is almost nonexistent. Since there is no gas, charcoal is used. This means that the forests on the island are decreasing, and the danger of erosion is increasing.
The island of Nosy Be, located in the north of Madagascar, is known as a perfumed island. This is due to the abundance of the Ylang Ylang plant on the island. Madagascar is a new and virgin option for vacation, both for its natural beauty and for being economical.
