THE UNIQUE BEAUTY OF URFA, THE CITY OF PROPHETS
The most common legend about it is that King Nimrod learned that Hz. Ibrahim would wage war against idolatry. Also, Hz. Ibrahim fell in love with Nimrod's daughter Zeliha. The king ordered Hz. Ibrahim to be burned. Fire was lit where the lake is located. At the moment Hz. Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, by the command of Allah, the logs turned into fish; the fire turned into a lake. From that day on, the lake is considered sacred. It is believed that if someone eats the fish, that person will go blind. It is believed that the small lake formed on the side is made of Zeliha's tears.
You can experience the pleasure of seeing a place where such a story is told and feed the fish.
