ONE REASON TO VISIT BURSA: ULUABAT LAKE
Uluabat Lake is located in the Kemalpaşa district of Bursa. It gets its name from the Temple of Apollo, dating back to the Roman period, whose ruins are found within the village. Uluabat Lake is home to a variety of fish and birds. It is possible to see dozens of different bird species on the shores of the lake or flying around it. While you can see migratory birds, especially during migration seasons, there are also birds that live there permanently.
Uluabat Lake consists of eight small islets. One of these islets is connected to the village by a bridge: Halilbey Island. Gölyazı Village is a fishing village that also boasts ancient artifacts.
