What Affects the Outcome of a UK Visa Application?
After a UK visa application is submitted, it will enter an approval process. This approval process is timed in two different groups.
The UK Consulate defines the application times as follows: If it is a blank passport, meaning there has never been any visa before, these applications are concluded within 5 business days. If the UK visa is for a full passport (if you have previously obtained US, UK, or Schengen visas), then applications are concluded within 3 business days.
When you go to apply at the Consulate, you can opt to be notified by SMS that your application is processed and concluded, for a certain fee. You can then pick it up. They also offer a courier service for a certain fee. This way, you won't need to go to the consulate multiple times to collect your passport. Your passport will be delivered to your home by courier.
