The State Folk Dance Group

   The State Folk Dance Group, affiliated to the General Directorate of Promotion and Marketing of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, combines traditional with modern artistic values in its interpretation of Turkish folk dances. The group was established in 1975 with the objective of promoting Turkish and folklore.
   The dance group has been extremely successful in its national and international tours, and has won widespread acclaim by critics.
Coverage has been given ti its performances in the mass media of various countries.
   The group has given a total of 450 performances in 35 different countries .
